Best New Writing accepts unpublished fiction and creative nonfiction under 10,000 words for publication and consideration for the Gover Story Prize ($250). Consideration is only given to new and unpublished, including on-line publications. We read submissions quarterly after the last day of March, June, September, and December.

2 Frieze Writer’s Prize

The annual international award to discover and promote new art critics, is now open for entries. The winner is then commissioned to write a review for Frieze for which £2,000 is the grand prize.

This year frieze assistant editor Paul Clinton, writer Olivia Laing, and writer and artist James Bridle are the judges. We invite aspiring art critics to submit one unpublished review of 700 words in length pertaining to a recent contemporary art exhibition.
