Poetry
You should keep the length of a poem to two pages. Send up to six poems per submission.

Nonfiction
We publish personal as well as cultural, political and other kinds of essays, and (self-contained) sections of memoirs.
- Length: 1,500-5,000 words, one piece per submission.

One Story is seeking literary fiction. Because of our format, we can only accept stories between 3,000 and 8,000 words. They can be any style and on any subject as long as they are good. We are looking for stories that leave readers feeling satisfied and are strong enough to stand alone.
One Story pays $500 and 25 contributors copies for First Serial North American rights. All rights will revert to the author following publication.

6. ORFORD PARISH BOOKS
Submissions will be open until April 2017, at which point we will no longer be accepting submissions or queries.
PAYMENT
We will be paying a flat rate of $75 upon acceptance for first rights in print and digital.
Length: 2,000-10,000 words.
Each story MUST either be set in New England or contain elements of New England folklore and history.
Each story MUST be folk horror (which we fully and happily acknowledge as being a broad and diverse term but we are defining as stated above.)
7. RESIST
RESIST is seeking a part-time Associate Editor, based in the United States, to help manage and run the editorial process for our online media sites.
The Associate Editor will manage our part-time Assistant Editors and coordinate with our Contributing Writers. This position is compensated at $19/hr and will average 15 hours per week. As we become more financially sustainable, we are committed to making this and other salaries at RESIST more competitive. Since we are a virtual organization, the Associate Editor works from home and attends meetings via video-conference calls.
RESIST is building a media and education platform to fight oppression and support radical movements for love, justice, and liberation. Since our launch in November 2016, we’ve been reaching half-a-million readers a month and are currently expanding our number of digital media sites.
